We offer a highly developed and unique approach to teaching students stop-frame animation.

Students choose two words out of a hat to begin their adventure – a verb and an adjective. After a short character development session with our animators, a plethora of heads, limbs, bodies hands and feet emerge from the Studio-K animation tool kit. Students build their puppets and under the camera a whole host of monsters, alter-egos and super heroes play the starring roles in a series of short animated films.

Working with sound, traditional techniques and an insight into animation software, we provide a confidence building platform for the voices of both students and their characters. View a selection of films here.

The animation programme was developed by James Jessiman, Theo Nunn and Anna Ginsburg.

“The students are still coming up to me asking if you’re going to come in again and run another workshop, they had such a wonderful time! It was wonderful to see them so engaged and focused.”
